What is the idea behind the Preppers Pit? 
To be the community for all who looking for reliable and relevant information about prepping, self-sufficiency, crisis management and all that comes with it.

What can I find on the site?
In addition to gear and supplies in the webshop, you can also find articles, guides, tests, recommendations and calculators that can inspire you to a good prepper life. All with the aim of preparing you for most eventualities.

Can I trust the content?
Yes, the content on Preppers Pit is created by science journalists. All content is fact-checked and in accordance with recommendations from authorities such as DTU's food institute and the National Emergency Management Agency.

What is your philosophy?
We want to make an uncertain world safer. We believe that if we each become good at preparing ourselves, we can all get through a crisis situation more easily.

Are you wearing a silver foil hat?
No! We do not believe in conspiracy theories or that doomsday is near. But we believe that it is common sense to be able to cope if the power suddenly goes out or the supermarket runs out of yeast. Prepping has an element of self-sufficiency that we like.

Why is it called the Preppers Pit?
Because we like the letter rhyme. But also because in Danish we lack a term for being prepared. We believe that "Preppers" are a developing culture in Denmark, and that the phenomenon will embrace more than being prepared for a crisis. For some, prepping will mean learning to ferment, for others, prepping will be an opportunity to invest in delicious equipment. The Preppers Pit is for them all.
